Benefits cheat had 5 homes

A BENEFITS cheat pocketed nearly pounds 28,000 while working for an escort agency and running a property empire Rachel Berkel, 40, drew housing benefit, income support and council tax benefit by posing as a struggling single mum.

But she was working in sales for an escort agency in Stockport, Greater Manchester, and owned at least five homes in the North of England.

One of her scams was faking a tenancy agreement to claim rent on a property she owned.

Berkel admitted benefits fraud and was jailed for two months at Chester Crown Court
